Carl Alexander

Carl Alexander, PGA – Director of Golf

As Director of Golf, Carl manages the Golf Operations while maintaining a full-time teaching schedule. Carl grew up playing golf at the Westchester Country Club, where he won both the Junior and the Men’s Club Championships and where he set a course record of 62 on the South Course. As the President of the Metropolitan PGA Section, Carl is a leader in the Metropolitan NY area. Many of Carl's assistants have gone on to secure their own Head Professional positions and his influence on PGA Education has been important to the Section. His teaching articles have appeared in many golf publications and his students have ranged from PGA TOUR Players, Junior Champions and College All-Americans to Amateur tournament winners. Carl's numerous professional and amateur victories - combined with his appearances in PGA TOUR events - have established him as one of the best players in the Metropolitan Section. 

Prior to Purchase, Carl was a Lead Instructor at the Grand Cypress Academy of Golf in Orlando, FL; Director of Instruction at the Pine Hollow Country Club on Long Island; and the Head Professional at the GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford, NY. Carl has honed his teaching skills from many noted professionals such as Jim McLean, "Lighthorse" Harry Cooper, Fred Griffin and legendary professional Phil Rodgers. He has been named by the Metropolitan PGA Section as a Teacher of the Year and by Golf Digest as one of the Top Teachers in the State. In 2012 Carl was given the National Horton Smith Award by the PGA of America for his work in PGA Education; and in 2016, he earned the Metropolitan PGA Section's Senior Player of the Year award.

   
Patrick Langan

Patrick Langan, PGA – Head Golf Professional

Patrick is a PGA Golf Professional who graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Golf Management in December 2008. He was the Clemson PGM Player of the Year all four years he attended. He was raised in Ridgefield, Connecticut and played at the Ridgefield Golf Club.

He began his career in the golf business working at the Winged Foot Golf Club under legendary golf professional Tom Nieporte. He later moved to Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff Manor. Beginning as a golf shop assistant and growing his role each year, he became the tournament coordinator and after several seasons was named Head Golf Professional in 2013.

2019 will be Patrick's 17th season in the Metropolitan Section as a golf professional. His experience in golf shop management, teaching and as an accomplished player help make him one of the leaders in the Met Section Assistants Association. During his past three seasons at Purchase, Patrick's focus on teaching has flourished and his success in helping members enjoy their game and improve their scores has been voiced by many.

   
Colin Corrigan

Colin Corrigan, PGA – Assistant Golf Professional

Colin Corrigan came aboard in 2018 after teaching for several seasons at Friars Head Golf Club on the North Fork of Long Island. He has also taught at the Redstick Golf Club in Vero Beach, FL; Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, PA; and Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra, FL. He is an accomplished teacher who has worked with celebrated instructors and is an excellent player with several professional wins in multiple PGA sections. Colin will be involved in all aspects of the golf operations with a particular focus on teaching.

He and his wife Emily have moved to the area with their young sons, Porter and Emmet.

   
Andrew Watson

Andrew Watson – PGA Apprentice Professional

Born and raised in New York, Andrew will be joining us for his first year at The Golf Club of Purchase. Having played baseball competitively for most of his life and into college, he began competing in golf in 2017 at Hamilton College where he won two events and was named to the NESCAC All Sportsmanship team in 2018. He graduated from Hamilton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in May 2019 and was a recipient of the J. Barney Moore Prize in Art for his excellence in studio art.

Andrew is coming from Hollow Brook Golf Club in Cortlandt Manor, NY where he gained valuable experience in teaching, golf shop management, and tournament operations. He is currently a PGA Associate pursuing his PGA Class A membership and is a U.S. Kids Golf Certified Instructor.

   
Rodean Minto

Rodean Minto – Assistant Golf Professional

Rodean Minto was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica and began playing golf when he immigrated to the United States in 2000 at the age of 16. He is a self-taught player and learned to play golf in Bridgeport, Connecticut at Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course. Rodean played recreational high school golf; however, in high school he was more devoted to playing organized soccer at the highest level. Rodean later qualified for the 2015 USGA US Mid-Amateur Championship and was a member of Jamaica Caribbean Amateur team in 2016 before turning professional in 2017.

Before coming to The Golf Club of Purchase, Rodean worked as an Assistant Golf Professional at Westchester Country Club for three years. Prior to Westchester, Rodean worked at The First Tee of Metropolitan New York as a Program Director for twelve years. Rodean brings his experience with teaching golf at all levels of play, his leadership skills, and his competitive background to The Golf Club of Purchase. He is a Certified U.S Kids Coach and a registered PGA Associate pursuing his PGA Class A membership.
